You’ll learn about the following 3 styles and how you can use them to improve your salsa dancing:
SON CUBANO is the foundation of modern salsa, a genre that blends African and Spanish musical traditions to create a sound that is both soulful and rhythmic. In this workshop, you’ll learn the elegant, syncopated footwork and partner work that characterize Son Cubano, emphasizing its smooth, flowing movements and close connection between partners.
CASINO, often referred to as “Cuban salsa,” is a lively and dynamic dance style that evolved from Son Cubano. It’s known for its circular motion, intricate turn patterns, and playful interaction between dancers.
TIMBA, the energetic and modern evolution of Cuban music and dance. Timba combines elements of Son, Casino, and Afro-Cuban rhythms with contemporary influences, resulting in a high-energy, fast-paced style that is both challenging and exhilarating.
