In this workshop, you’ll learn how Cuban music works and how your body can respond to it naturally.
You will learn how to hear the layers of the music, play with the rhythms, and express the music with your body.
After this workshop your social dancing will experience a boost and people will start turning their heads when you show up on the dance floor.
What we’ll cover:
- Understanding Cuban Salsa music structure
- Clave, percussion, and rhythmic accents
- Body movement, Afro-Cuban influence & styling
- Musical interpretation in partner & solo dancing
- Playfulness, pauses, and dynamic expression
