FAQ

1. What is Cuban Salsa?

Cuban Salsa, also known as Casino, is a dynamic partner dance with circular movements rooted in Afro-Cuban traditions. It’s mostly danced on a “1” count and incorporates Cuban music styles like Son, Rumba, and Mambo. The style is fun, social, and full of energy. At Salsa of Sweden, we teach the most recent version of Cuban Salsa that is danced all over the world.

2. Do I need a partner to join Salsa classes?

No partner is needed! Cuban salsa is very social, and partners are rotated throughout the class to ensure everyone gets a chance to dance with and meet different people. You’re welcome to come solo or with a friend.

3. What level of dance experience do I need to join?

We offer classes for all levels. You can read more about the levels on the bottom of the page here.
